The following page is dedicated to the Association's rules and regulations. These rules are created and enforced in order to ensure game play moves smoothly and safely. As the Association grows and changes, so do the rules, so make sure you stay updated!

Equipment Regulations and Requirements

1# 6MM Spring, Mini-electric, Electric Blow Back (EBB) and Boys AEGs may be used ONLY. No gas or regular AEGs. (The Association is currently looking for ways to include these types of guns into gameplay. You have them and want to use them, we know this. If you have suggestions, contact the Association;)

#2 ALL guns MUST have RED or BLAZE ORANGE paint or tips. Required by Federal Law, not just us.

#3 Grenade and grenade launcher rules are evolving. As of now, a bazooka is available for most games, but will generally only be allowed for certain objective-based senarios. We currently allow plastic grenade replicas (found at Jungletoy for $3) to be used. When thrown they have a 'blast radius' of 10 feet.

#4 Each member is responsible for their own first aid. While the Association does try to bring out first aid equipment and know-how, we can not be held liable for injuries that you may potentialy sustain while playing with us. Remember that airsoft is a "at your own risk" sport.

#5 Ski masks and Balclavas are banned from gameplay unless cleared by Admin for various reasons (ex. cold gamedays). Our fear is that we will be mistaken by the public for 'terrorists' or 'robbers'.

#6 DO NOT BRING ANY REAL STEEL, PELET, CO2 BB, BLOWGUN, SWORDS, DAGGERS, THROWING KNIVES/STARS, NUNCHUCKS OR SIMILAR TYPES OF WEAPONS!!! WE WANT TO WIN, NOT KILL EACHOTHER!!! IF YOU BRING SUCH YOU WILL BE SENT HOME. The only exceptions to this are personal pocket knives used as tools to work on your guns on the field.

#7 Eye protection must be worn by players AND spectators during games. See the Questions/Join page to see what qualifies as eye protection.

#8 While FAAPA does try to provide at least one gallon of water for the group each game, it may be advisabe for players to bring thier own, especialy during the summer months.

Gameplay and other regulations

#1 Our biggest rule. CALL YOUR HITS. Not some of them, but all of them. Hits to your tactical gear do count, gun hits do not. Remember:

"Old airsofters never die, they just go back to re-spawn"
-Lt. Sean Huges, SF Recon

#2 All hit/dead players are under a gag order. Remember, dead men tell no tales.

#3 All hit/dead players should proceed their designated spawn point and wait to respawn. Please do not loiter around the combat zone to give intel to your living team mates.

#4 When given the opprotunity, please try to avoid face shots. Remember, a hit on the hand counts no more or less than a hit to the face.

#5 Surrender Rule and engagement distance: If you are within 20 ft. of any opponent and have a clear shot, call 'surrender' to kill them. DO NOT SHOOT THEM. This is for the saftey of others. Mini-electrics and "pocket pistols" are immune to this rule. They have no engagement range range due to their low velocity. When it comes down to it, use common sense. If you think you're too close to shoot, call surrender. Also note that surrender is not a request, but a statement saying 'I just pulled my trigger, but not for real'. Consider it the same as someone shooting out. Unless the surrender is unreasonable (ex. Through a bush 50 feet away) give your opponent the benifit of the doubt. You'll be back in in 45 seconds anyway...

#6 ALL weapons and equipment (other than hats and BDUs) must be in a non-transparent shooter's bag, gun case, backpack etc. when being transported to the field. We don't want to alarm the public. I think this also may be state law, but I am not sure.

#7 If you or a friend needs a loaner rifle for a game, please notify us ASAP so we can bring the FAAPA set.

#8 NO night games. We don't want to have the cops called on us, believe me. We know from firsthand experience.

#9 PLEASE attempt to carpool when comming to the field. We want to keep as few cars on the street as possible.

#10 DO NOT FIRE UPON UNARMED PERSONS WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS TO SENSIBLE PERSONS THAT GAME HAS ENDED!!! This is grounds for IMMEDIATE, PERMENANT dismissal.

#11 Once a game has ended, all participants MUST remove thier mags, clear thier chambers and if possible SAFE all weapons. Any post game engagements will not be tolerated.

#12 Please police your own garbage and haul it off the field. Our continued use of this field hinges upon keeping it as clean as possible.

CONSIQUENCES of FAILING TO ABIDE BY FAAPA REGULATIONS:

We at FAAPA have set the abovestated regulations mainly for saftey purpouses. Do understand that we do not take violations of our saftey policies lightly! If you intentionaly break these rules on a regular basis, you will be warned ONCE and once only. If you continue to disrespect our players and rules, an Administration meeting will be called on the field to discuss the potential for you to be PERMENATLY BANNED FROM FAAPA EVENTS.

Keep in mind that these rules are ALWAYS subject to change. We do our best to inform players about rule changes, but it is your responcibility to keep up. If you are unsure about a rule, ASK AN ADMINISTRATOR! We would rather be asked about the rules then have people unsure about what is going on.
